Run TrackTown 5K
Benefitting Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)
We are thrilled to partner with RE/MAX Integrity to raise awareness and funds for Court Appointed Special Advocates of Lane County at this years Run TrackTown 5K. Because of RE/MAX Integrity's generous partnership, a portion of your registration fee goes directly back to CASA. Remember, YOU can also raise additional funds through your run. Visit our Crowdrise webpage to find out how easy it is to start fundraising!
CASA Helps Abused Kids
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) provides a powerful voice for abused and neglected children in Lane County. Every day, judges decide the futures of foster children in a court system that is too overburdened to focus adequately on the needs of each child. CASA trains and supports community volunteers to advocate for these children and help to move them as quickly as possible into safe, permanent homes. Learn more at www.casa-lane.org.
Register today to help represent all 702 children in need of a CASA volunteer! Can't make it on May 9th? You can register as a "VIRTUAL" runner. Give $25 and sleep in!
Don't Forget Your Cape!
Show you are a superhero for kids and purchase a Champion Cape for just $5. You can purchase your cape when you register online or on race morning near the starting line.
Your $5 goes straight to CASA. Superhero costumes of all kinds are highly encouraged! Thank you Chvatal Orthodontics for providing our superhero capes!

2015 5K Course Description
Participants of this unique 5K will head east on 15th to beautiful Fairmount Blvd. With a quick pass through the pretty neighborhood streets, 5Kers get back to campus via 18th and Alder. The final mile heads down 13th through the middle of campus, where runners and walkers make the final push up Agate to a spectacular finish on the track!
We are thrilled to have both Saturday races (5K & Kids Run) finish once again on the track at Hayward Field; just like the full and half marathon! You can expect all of the same excitement - including the popular Krusteaz Flap Jack. And, even better, you can eat a flap jack too at the Krusteaz pancake breakfast after the race! Thanks Krusteaz!
Meet Ashton & Brianne
Honorary Chairs on behalf of CASA
Ashton Eaton, American decathlete and Olympic champion, who holds the world record in both the decathlon and indoor heptathlon and his wife, Brianne Theisen-Eaton, Canadian track and field Olympian and heptathlon silver medalist at the 2013 World Championships will be cheering on the runners on race day!
We asked Ashton and Brianne to tell us why they choose to support CASA by being the Honorary Chairs in 2015:
"As Ashton and I have gotten older, we've done a lot of reflecting upon our childhoods. We are so fortunate to be able to wake up everyday and do something that we love, and we know that we didn't get here on our own. As kids and young adults, we had many people; parents, teachers, mentors, helping and challenging us along the way. We understand how crucial this time is and hope that it's something all children can experience.
Ashton and I have always loved working with kids, and seeing those that have benefitted from this program with huge smiles on their faces is extremely rewarding. These kids need a voice, and you can help them by donating to CASA, running or being a virtual runner in their annual 5k, or volunteering to be a Court Appointed Special Advocate for a child." – Brianne Theisen Eaton
Beat the Krusteaz Flap Jack and WIN!
The Krusteaz Flap Jack continues to reach new heights in popularity. More and more of you speedsters are training to beat him in the 5K and win a years supply of yummy Krusteaz buttermilk pancake mix. In 2012 only 10 people crossed the finish line before our fluffy friend. How about 2013, you ask? Only 4 folks were faster! Flapjack was kind in 2014. He 'allowed' more winners. All "winners" receive Krusteaz pancakes and coupons. We hope you're training to beat the Krusteaz Flap Jack in 2015!

Or...Don't Beat Flap Jack
If you're still reading you know that our fluffy friend is fast!! Therefore, Krusteaz is implementing a new challenge this year:
DON'T BEAT FLAP JACK!
Krusteaz will donate $1 to our 5K partner, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), for every participant who does not beat Flap Jack. So, train, or not! Everyone wins this year at the 2015 Run TrackTown 5K!!
